hello and welcome to your pom pom kit, i am so happy you are here! get excited to learn how to use all the materials in the box and make a giant pom pom and then get completely hooked on pom pom making! you will learn the solid color as well as stripes, but really the possibilities are endless and you can really just have fun and layer yarn on top of each other to produce different patterns. .

+ solid color poms

01. this is your pom maker. and this is what is looks like when you fold out the two sides. it also completely comes apart in the center (that’s important)

02. begin by wrapping yarn around one of the arms. stop when the arm is completely full and looks like the picture.

03. cut your yarn and fold the full side back into the middle. repeat the wrapping on the other side.

04. cut your yarn and fold the two arms back into the middle.

05. now take your scissors and cut through the middle of the yarn around the outside of the pom maker.

06. cut a length of yarn approximately, wrap it around the center of the circle and tie a secure double knot. i leave a long tail before trimming.

07. this part is up to you, i prefer a dense pom pom so i begin cutting while on the pom maker. so grab a bowl and begin trimming while the pom pom is still contained, using the pom pom maker as a guide. you can choose to skip this step and leave the pom pom fluffy.

08. open the pom pom maker and take it apart through the center, releasing the pom!

09. continue or begin trimming your pom pom over a bowl. roll the pom pom between your hands a few times to get a circle. based on how dense or fluffy you want the pom pom, keep or stop trimming.

10. once you are all done trimming, your pom pom is complete!

+ stripes

01. choose 3 colors. one will be a base and the others will be the stripes.

02. begin by wrapping on one of the arms with your base color. only wrap one layer.

03. cover that layer with one layer of your stripe color.

04. repeat step 02 and 03 until the pom pom maker is filled, finishing with the base color on top.

05. cut your yarn and fold the full side back into the middle. repeat the wrapping on the other side.

06. cut your yarn and fold the two arms back into the middle.

07. now take your scissors and cut through the middle of the yarn around the outside of the pom maker.

08. cut a length of yarn approximately, wrap it around the center of the circle and tie a secure double knot. i leave a long tail before trimming.

09. same goes for above, trim as much as you want!
