DIY No Sew Coolest Dad Ever Pennant
I think my dad is cool. Do you think that your dad is cool? If you answered yes to that question you should probably make your dad this pennant. It is easy and you don’t even need a sewing machine!
SUPPLIES
-Felt Sheets (I used navy blue and white)
-Scissors
-Fabri-Tac Glue
-Tracing Paper
-Sharpie Marker
-Map Pins
MAKING THE PENNANT
Step One: Draw a triangle on tracing paper and cut it out. Place tracing paper and pin to the navy blue felt that will be the pattern base. For different sizes follow the sizing guide of Large: 18” x 9”, Medium: 12” x 6”, Small 6” x 3” and cut out the triangle shape.
Step Two: Using the pattern above, place your tracing paper on your computer screen and trace the pattern. Use the triangle tracing paper to see how big your letters should be. Cut out the pattern.
Step Three: Place the felt letters that you cut out from the tracing paper and pin them to the white felt. Cut out the letters. This is the most time consuimg part and can be frustrating. It might be good to have an X-acto knife handy.
Step Four: Using the white felt, cut a ½” to 1” wide rectangle depending on the size of the pennant that is the length of the wide part of the pennant. Glue this to the triangle using fabri-tac glue.
Step Five: Cut small strips of the white felt for the tail accents. Cut them to be 2”-4” long and around a quarter of an inch wide. Overlap two strips to create a V shape and glue together. Once dry, glue to the back side of the pennant.
Step Six: . Glue the saying to the pennant. You can also glue some fun shapes to make it a little more fun. I just cut out some thin lines and then placed them around “EVER.”
There you have it, a cute adorable pennant that is perfect for a Father's Day gift and that shows just how cool your dad is. It also shows that you are cool because you made it! I really love how it turned out. I like that it looks old school but also isn’t exactly perfect either. My favorite part of a handmade gift is the little quirks!
