I decided that it would be the most fun and exciting to do a DIY where I weave with one of my favorite tools ever, the LOOME tool! I found them on Instagram a few years back around the holidays and immediately asked someone to buy me one for Christmas. This tool is multi- functional, but what I was most excited for, was the fact that it was small and compact and I could weave and pom pom on the go! Most mini weaving tools out there the weaving has to stay on the loom, but not with LOOME. It is just as easy to take off as it is to warp.

Last year I worked on fourth of July and I wanted to make the day more fun for my clients so I wrote up a pattern for an American Flag Pom Pom. They were such a hit and a cute little way to be festive, pass the time and engage in a perfect coping skill. The best of all the worlds!

I get really excited by pom poms because they are just so cute and really exciting when you make one. Everyone who I have ever spoken to who makes pom poms gets excited every time they create a perfectly cylindrical yarn ball. I love trying different patterns, and even making a few of my own up!

I wanted to make something that could act as a doorstop by day but then turn into a decorative item at night (though I don’t want it to hang on the door). Right now I have an oversized pom pom that is doing the trick but I wanted something more long term so here we go to make one out of clay! It is super simple and so fun but just keep in mind that it is a multi day project!

Read MoreI feel like I am always looking for a new notebook and like I can never get enough of them. I also feel like I have a collection of paper bags that really just never seem to go away, no matter how many we use. Honestly we once went through our stash and had to recycle upwards of 100 paper bags. I would always much rather re purpose something so then I decided to make these notebooks out of the paper bags. I can decorate each of them differently and use each of them for different things.
