Doing all of this weaving all the time has gotten me to really figure out how to balance working a full time job and basically full time weaving! I wanted to share with y’all how this has worked for me and how you can maybe do this in your own life.
Read MoreI am starting with foundations, but I really am the most excited for the texture class that I got. I am thrilled to be able to build up texture in different ways than I currently am. I feel as though it will help me be more mindful and involved in my own process because it is easier to engage in skills you already have.
Read MoreThere is more out there in the weaving world, that is very similar to weaving but is not exactly weaving. Most of the time, they are marketed as kids crafts but when you get the hang of it, you can make things way cooler than what is marketed. I mean let’s think of it, most of us learned to weave as kids, but just on a pot holder loom! The craft that I am thinking of here is latch hooking. Read Morehere are plenty of ways to go about circle weaving, but my favorite way to go about it is to use an embroidery hoop! They are pretty cheap and when you put the outer hoop over the weaving it creates this nice wooden border that is super nice looking. Read MoreI decided that it would be the most fun and exciting to do a DIY where I weave with one of my favorite tools ever, the LOOME tool! I found them on Instagram a few years back around the holidays and immediately asked someone to buy me one for Christmas. This tool is multi- functional, but what I was most excited for, was the fact that it was small and compact and I could weave and pom pom on the go! Most mini weaving tools out there the weaving has to stay on the loom, but not with LOOME. It is just as easy to take off as it is to warp.
