Interesting Things !
Happy Wednesday, this week we are cramming as much as we can into 4 days because we travel to New York to celebrate “Christmas” with my big sister. My sister moved to Texas a few years ago, so we have created a tradition of having Christmas twice. One time actually on Christmas and one time in mid January when she is in town. It is very enjoyable to celebrate a holiday that brings a lot of joy more than once. Also, seeing my sister is always a plus. I haven’t seen her since June!
I am looking forward to spending some quality sibling time together. We will be in the suburbs of New York and so there is not always a lot to do. We plan to go see a movie, watch our younger brother play basketball and maybe go get our nails done! There will also be time spent with the whole family re- celebrating Christmas at my house. I am very excited to wear my Christmas pajamas again!
While I am away there will still be a DIY posted on Sunday so stay tuned for that! In the meantime, here are a few links for you and your week!
-There is currently a call for art open at Gallery 263 in Cambridge MA. The exhibition is called WILD and they are looking for “work that considers their definition of wild in a time of planetary change.” The deadline is February 1, 2020.
-I recently just re-found these gummy bears at a local store that I used to eat when I was a teenager from a fancy candy store in Red Bank New Jersey and then never was able to find them again, but I was at a potluck and someone brought them as a snack!
-I ordered these earrings off of Etsy and they have changed my life. They take a little bit to get to you but totally worth it! The colors are so vibrant and the earrings are very light.
-Michael’s is still having a sale on rolling carts. I have two and they are amazing. We also got the cart topper which is hard to find but some stores still have it. It makes for the perfect rolling art cart. We currently have one for music and one for my art supplies. So organized and fun!
-We are very obsessed with the show “Sex Explained” apart of the Explained series on Netflix. It is narrated my Janelle Monáe
-Just hung up this Midsommer print that I bought for our home at a craft fair and I love it. So excited to add this piece of art to our home.
-Song of the week: Don’t Stop Now: Dua Lipa
