What's In My Makeup/ Skincare Bags
We all know that “maskne” is all the rage these days and no one is happy about it. I personally really enjoy wearing a mask. I have a bunch with super fun patterns and colors and I feel like they totally complete my outfit sometimes. It is a plus that they keep people safe too! My skin on the other hand HATES wearing a mask and has actually been very upset with me lately. I have crazy sensitive skin, like to the point where I can’t really use anything unless it is hypo- allergenic or specifically for sensitive skin. I can share some horror stories with y’all from when I was a teen, but Ill save those for another day.
I made a huge purchase from Glossier right before the quarantine happened and they saved my life, Glossier is mainly all hypo- allergenic and all about making your natural beauty shine through, so I wanted to share some reviews with you!
SKINCARE
MILKY JELLY CLEANSER: just a very basic face wash that is super gentle and for all skin types. it is a creamy gel, so it is soothing on the skin. it doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight or irritated and it has similar cleansing agents as found in contact solutions so it doesn’t sting your eyes! just use it as a regular face wash, i use it every night and it was grand!
MOISTURIZING MOON MASK: i love it so much, i just use it now. this product is one of the ones that basically saved my skin, especially since it has been really hot out because this mask is for deep hydration. It leaves your skin feeling so bright and glowing and literally my face feels like a baby’s butt after I use it. You put a lot of it on your face to apply a pretty thick layer and then you leave it on for 20 minutes. When you wash it off, it will still feel a bit thick but as you wash it off rub it in a more and it leaves you with great results.
MEGA GREEN GALAXY PACK: this product also saved me a bunch. It is for evening out your skin a bit more so it feels bit rough and tingly when you first use it, but it is not at all abrasive. This one is a more like a clay mask but it is super gentle and minimizes the appearance of pores. When you wash it off, your skin is super velvety and rich feeling and looking. You put a lot of it on your face to apply a pretty thick layer and then you leave it on for 20 minutes. When you wash it off, it will still feel a bit thick but as you wash it off rub it in a more and it leaves you with great results.
ZIT STICK: this one does not have the greatest review online because people do not like the packaging, but I really don’t care, this thing works wonders. If I notice a zit, i roll this stick over it and the zit like disappears before my eyes. You can even roll this over your skin if you have makeup on. It is literally a DREAM!
PRIMING MOISTURIZER : this moisturizer is a really great day time friend. It really does bring out the best in your skin. I use it all the time and my skin fells like it is glowing when I use it so I feel like a new person! What I love most about this is that it is very lightweight so you can build on it and apply more layers depending on the climate or season. I put so much of this on in the winter, it is amazing. It also works well with the Perfecting Skin Tint makeup which is fun!
BALM DOTCOM: i literally hate chap stick and this is the only one that I will use. I have the mint one and I am obsessed with it.
FUTUREDEW: Okay so this is an oil serum and I never thought I would like that, but this stuff is AMAZING. It makes my skin look so dewy, glowing and like I spent hours on my face. It is the last part of the skin care routine and I don’t really like to put it over makeup, so I often put on it if I am having a natural day. The best part of it, is that it lasts all day, literally 12 hours and you look like you “woke up like this”
MAKEUP
for the record, I do not wear a lot of makeup. I am absolutely more of a skin care person, but I have a few makeup items! I plan to use them when mask wearing is over for the most part
PERFECTING SKIN TINT: I like my skin to look completely even and this perfecting skin tint does just that. It layers a base for evening out your complexion and leaves the skin looking smooth. It is a nice time, I use it as the base for the Stretch Concealer if I am planning to put makeup on.
STRETCH CONCEALER: this stuff is a total gift. for days when i am trying to cover up the redness or those dark circles under my eyes after a long week. It doesn’t grease up during the day and it makes my skin looking brand new. It does give you that glowing look too which is just the perfect experience I am looking for.
BOY BROW : thick eyebrows are like all the rage these days. This helps you to puff up your eyebrows so they look thick and fluffy. I have the brown and the clear and I like them both. They are fairly easy to use and also last all day without wearing off.
GENERATION G: I have the color cake and i love the color. It is not too dark but also not too much like a hot pink which is totally not for me. it looks natural but a bit more elevated. i can keep it on all day and it doesn’t feel caked on (pun intended). it is the lightest lipstick ever. this is for sure for when we aren’t in a mask anymore
