Interesting Things
Something that I have recently gotten into, but I am no expert, is taking care of my skin. To be honest when I was younger I always had really great skin. I used to tell people it was because I sweat out all my toxins so I had no pimples (who knows, could be true!) As I have gotten older, started different forms of birth control and continued sweating, my skin has completely changed. I get regular break outs, and my cheeks are often quite red, I knew that acne was a side effect of my birth control but I thought I would take the chance anyway! Now is also a good time to tell you that I have incredibly sensitive skin so a lot of products do me more dirty than using no product at all.
A product that I have sworn by my whole life is Cetaphil. My whole family actually uses it. It is specially made to smooth out your skin and it is not like other lotions that can clog your pores! It also is not greasy and it is non- irritating, basically meaning that it is hypo- allergenic for me! This lotion is 100% apart of my routine
I also love almost all of the Glossier skin care products. They have honesty changed my life. They make me feel cool and make me feel like I have done the work of “putting on makeup” when in reality it is just skin care that makes my skin look flawless.
I have different skin care routines for different times of the day but they often follow the same flow. In the morning I wash my face with the Milk Jelly Cleanser from Glossier, I follow that up with the Priming Moisturizer from Glossier, followed by Cetaphil with 15 spf in it and smoothed out by the basic Cetaphil moisturizing lotion. If I am noticing some red spots I will put on some Glossier Skin Tint. Lastly I put on some chap stick (handmade, Glossier, Chap Stick Brand- whatever you got!) That is it for the morning.
If I go to work out I often take my make up off at the studio with a travel size Cetaphil face wash ! I then come home and shower and wash my face in the shower using Malin and Goetz face wash. When I get out I just use some Cetaphil Moisturizing lotion and call it a day!
I guess you can say that I am a bit Cetaphil obsessed, but it really is what works best for my skin and it has not yet steered me in the wrong direction. There are a few products that I would love to add to my routine and I will link them below!
Glossier Futuredew: It gives you the glowing look to get through the day!
Glossier Bubble Wrap: It is an eye and lip plumping cream!
